Time for the 20th Annual Beer Church Turkey Bowl

(November 2018) — For the past 20 years, I have organized and hosted a big bowling party and fundraiser. For most of those years, I’ve done it with my wife Kim by my side. Also, for most of those years, we’ve done it to benefit the West Seattle Food Bank. That’s who we’ll benefit from this year’s event. The 20th Annual Beer Church Turkey Bowl takes place on Saturday, November 17th at West Seattle Bowl from 5:30 until 8:00, with the raffle happening at 7:00.

Tons of raffle prizes.

This event also doubles as a release party for this year’s version of Beer Church IPA. You can read all about the beer here. Turkey Bowl, along with the release event that day at Two Beers Brewing, is your first opportunity to taste this limited-release beer.

Bowling alley will have it on draft and in cans.

We’ve already sold out the bowling part of the event, taking down all 32 of the lanes at the bowling alley, but everyone is invited to come out and join in the fun. Bring some food for the food drive or just come to participate in our target raffle and have a beer. We’ve got some great stuff lined up for the taking. Not just beery stuff, though there’s plenty of that, all sorts of other cool prizes too. The folks from West Seattle Food Bank will be there collecting food donations and bowling, too.

There's a trophy involved.

Kim and I owe a lot of thanks to the community that surrounds us. Not just our friends and family who volunteer alongside us, but all of the businesses that support us and donate items for the raffle. Our big sponsors this year are West Seattle Bowl and The Beer Junction — huge thanks to them!
