Wingman Brewers of Tacoma is switching things up a bit. It will soon begin packaging its beer in six packs of 12-ounce cans. Six packs of both the Ace IPA and P-51 Porter should hit the shelves later next month.
“We’re super excited about this,” says Ken Thoburn, Head Brewer at Wingman Brewers. “It took us a hot minute to save up to buy a whole truckload of cans, which is the order minimum. But now that we have a truckload it’s actually cheaper for us to make a six pack with 72 ounces total of beer in it than it was a four pack of 16-ounce cans with 64 ounces total beer in it. So we get to pass those savings on to our customers and provide them with a beautifully redesigned package.”
The new 12-ounce cans should hit the shelves during the third or fourth week of February.
