Looking for a new home, imagining the next chapter

North Seattle’s Lantern Brewing is closing, saying that it was unable to extend its lease with the property owner. The brewery, located on N. 95th Street just off Aurora Avenue, says it is looking for a new place to call home and is exploring ideas for creating a new, reimagined version of the brewery. Final days for the taproom are not definite, but the brewery says sometime between November 8th and 15th marks the end.

On social media Lantern Brewing said, “[we are] Posting another closure notice as many folks missed the message (we get it – there’s a lot going on and lots of reasons to not be online!)”

“We’ve been feeling the love from all of you that have reached out and/or stopped by. Thank you! We are sorry to be forced to close up and leave this neighborhood. Over the years, we’ve poured our hearts into Lantern—crafting truly local, distinctive beers, championing the use of regional malt and building a space where people feel welcome to gather and connect. Thanks to all of you, Lantern became more than just a place—it grew into an incredible community which will be deeply missed!”

“We’re looking for an another space and exploring ways to reimagine a Lantern 2.0 but it’s still in progress. We don’t have a firm closing date yet but it will likely be between Nov 8-15, depending on our moving logistics. Stay tuned and please come in often over the next few weeks! We’d love to see you and need all of your support!!”
