It’s hot out there. Nothing cools you down like a beer. Well, except maybe a delicious, cold cider. Either way, there’s plenty of stuff happening to get you out of the house on this hot summer eve and over the next few days.
The Everett Craft Beer Festival takes place on Saturday. Lots of great Washington beer served up on the streets of Everett – festival style. Expect to see more than 20 Washington breweries pouring dozens of beers. For more information, and ticket info, visit the official event website.
Latona Pub continues its week-long 25th Anniversary Celebration. Tonight, it’s the Latona Cask Festival. Upon the bar, expect to find beautiful firkins awaiting you. Tomorrow (Friday) it’s a big musical reunion with some familiar Latona acts returning for a jam session celebrating the 25 years of great music that has accompanied the 25 years of great beer. The big shindig is Saturday – the actual date of the Latona Pub’s inception.
Beveridge Place Pub is celebrating cider all week with a Cider Revival Week. Tonight, Tieton Cider Works will be in the house for a brewers night… uh, er, Cider Makers Night celebration. Tomorrow (Friday) the pub will be serving a selection of hopped ciders. On Saturday afternoon Alpenfire Orchards will pour a vertical tasting of its deliciously dry Pirates Plank (my personal favorite cider ever), featuring ’09, ’10 and ’11 vintages. Also, they will be releasing Glow, a cider made with all red flesh apples.
The Beer Junction. Tonight (5:00 – 7:45) the beautifully cool Beer Junction is hosting an Oskar Blues beer tasting this evening. Along with the more predictable offerings from Oskar Blues, a special red wine barrel aged version of their G’Knight Imperial Red.
Bellingham Bay: If you’re lucky, and just so happen to be up north, maybe you can get on tonight’s Beer Cruise. Check out our previous post about the Bellingham Bay brew cruises happening all month.
Beyond that… it is Cask Night at Naked City, Airways Brewing, and Diamond Knot. Check our events calendar for information about those events.
