Thursday, September 11th at Stoup Brewing Capitol Hill

I have described Stoup Brewing as the “Bill Nye the Science Guy of craft beer.” The brewery creates beers with equal parts scientific precision and childish zeal and whimsy. So, for me, it’s not surprising that Stoup Brewing is hosting an event to help people better understand the scientific process behind something so fanciful as fresh hop beer. The brewery’s Capitol Hill location hosts an Art and Science of Beer event on Thursday, September 11th from 5:00 – 9:00. Come learn more about one of life’s great ephemeral joys, fresh hop beer.

“We are very excited to spotlight one of our favorite times of year and to provide a beer centric educational opportunity for our Capitol Hill community,” said Lara Zahaba, co-owner and creative director at Stoup Brewing. “So, during Capitol Hill Art Walk, we are hosting what we hope will be a super fresh and fascinating dive into the Art & Science of Beer, with a special spotlight on Fresh Hops!”

“We are activating the space with hop farm photography, an exclusive Warhol-esque Fresh Hop Fiend print for sale, a live Brew Day with brewery tours, a hops sensory station exploring diverse hop varieties, and a virtual journey through captivating videos of hop farms and their awesome owners.”
