The annual Hop Scotch festival has a new name: Seattle Scotch and Beer Fest. We’re happy to have them aboard as a sponsor again this year. The event is described as Seattle’s premier beer, Scotch, whiskey, and wine tasting experience. More than 30 breweries will pour at the event. And of course there will be scotch, whiskey and wine for those interested in a diversion. Tickets are on sale now.
The list of participating breweries includes Aslan Brewing, Chuckanut Brewery, Crux Fermentation Project, Firestone Walker Brewing, Fort George Brewing, Fremont Brewing, Hilliard’s Beer, Mollusk Brewery, Pike Brewing, Orlison Brewing, Silver City Brewing, and many others. In all, nearly 40 breweries and cider producers will pour at the event.
There are several different ticket options depending on what you’re looking to experience at the festival. The most basic package—the beer tasting package—is $30. I encourage you to check out the website for all the details; there’s a lot to digest at this multi-faceted festival.
Scotch and Whiskey novices and experts can sample six vintage Scotches or six Northwest Whiskies side-by-side to detect the subtle nuances and different expressions of these classic malt beverages. Scotch experts will be on-hand to guide you through this one-of-a-kind tasting experience. Not just that, but they’ll have Scotch seminars for the truly hardcore. The seminars will be led by Scotch expert Ari Shapiro. Seminars will include 10 Scotches from the Glenlivet, Aberlour, Chivas, Scapa, and Longmorn families.
Food will be available from Lumpia World, one of Seattle’s beloved food trucks.
This event is for grownups only (21+).
