Lowercase Brewing officially opens this Friday, January 17th in Seattle’s South Park neighborhood. Well, kind of. The event this Friday is sold out. They actually did issue tickets and they are all gone. But do not despair! They’re open all weekend. We introduced you to this new brewery a few weeks ago (read that story).
Like many of you, my beer-loving soul burns with a desire to drink a new brewery’s beer as soon as possible. I long to be the first customer on the first day, but consider this: Chris Smith, the owner and brew guru at Lowercase Brewing, knew that a huge crowd of supporters wanted to be there when he opened the doors, so he issued tickets not wanting to end up in the uncomfortable position of turning people away because of building occupancy restrictions, fire codes, and the like. In simplest terms, unless you already have a ticket for Friday, don’t bother showing up. Come visit the brewery Saturday or Sunday instead.
Chris Smith wants everyone to know that they will be open all weekend. They’ll be showing the football games on Sunday, for those of you interested in that sort of thing, which is pretty much everybody these days. On tap, Lowercase Brewing intends to pour its Pale, ESB and IPA, along with house-made soda. Beers will pour for $4.00 per pint (tax included).
Again, I encourage you to read our previous story about Lowercase Brewing to learn what they have in store for you.
