Not too long ago we told you that Bickersons Brewhouse of Renton, Washington planned to open in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood. Not moving, but opening a second location. The location of the new brewery and taproom in Seattle’s busiest beer district is familiar to local beer lovers: it is the former home of Peddler Brewing Company, which recently shut down permanently. Since the ink dried on the contract last month, Bickersons Brewhouse has been busy sprucing the place up–painting inside and out, pressure washing the patio, working on the new-to-them brewing equipment, and otherwise getting ready to welcome the beer-drinking public. This weekend, they celebrate the grand opening.
They’ll mark the occasion with live music, food trucks, and a dozen beers on tap, some from the Renton brewery and others from the Ballard brewery. They’ll open at noon on both days with live music from 2:00 – 5:00 each day.
