Early distant warning. Flatstick Pub in Pioneer Square is hosting the Schuchart’s Movember Brewfest on October 19th. The event brings together beer lovers and breweries to benefit the Movember Foundation’s work to support men’s health issues.
Twelve breweries and five cider producers signed up to pour at the event. Participating breweries are challenged to provide a special, one-off beer with enhanced flavoring. The list of participants is included in the information below provided by the event organizers.

SEATTLE, August 18, 2016 – Beer and cider enthusiasts are encouraged to attend Schuchart’s Movember ‘Brew Fest’, held October 19, 5-10pm at Flat Stick Pub in Pioneer Square. The annual fundraising event to benefit the Movember Foundation brings together local craft brewers and is open to the public.

Admittance costs $10 with all proceeds from the door going directly to the Movember Foundation. Learn more and register to attend at the official event Facebook page.
This year’s event will feature exclusive batches prepared by twelve local brewers and five ciderys. Each participating brewer/cidery has been challenged to incorporate one unique flavor, ranging from fennel and hibiscus to cayenne and cactus into one of their beer or cider offerings.
Participating brewers contribute $1 of each pint sold directly to the Movember Foundation. In addition, Flat Stick Pub, the event host, will match each pint with an additional $1 contribution.
‘Brew Fest’ is expected to raise record funds again this year. The event already has a top-tier roster of local brewers and cider makers, including:

Guests will also have a chance to hear from local University of Washington doctors whose medical research is directly supported by the funds raised by the Movember Foundation.
The Movember Foundation is a charitable organization that supports programs focused on men’s health, including prostate cancer, testicular cancer and suicide prevention. Each November, the organization challenges the public to grow and sport a moustache for thirty days to raise funds and increase awareness of critical men’s health issues. Since its inception in 2003, the Movember Foundation raised more than $710 million globally and has funded more than 1,000 projects focusing on prostate cancer, testicular cancer and suicide prevention.
