Next Saturday, October 24th, two establishments are teaming up to present the Mad John Pumpkin Festival. The two businesses, BottleNeck Lounge and Two Doors Down, are located on the east side of Capitol Hill at the intersection of Madison Street and John Street. Thus, “Mad John.”

All the taps at The BottleNeck are going pumpkin for the day and they’ll also serve up their famous La Calabaza Margaritas (made with a nutmeg spiced rim) as well as a spiked punch, served from a Jack-O’-Lantern.

Next door at Two Doors Down, where they have 19 beers on tap, they’ll serve up Pumpkin Smash Burger (1/4 lb NW beef patty, roasted delicata squash, house-made pumpkin seed pesto on a brioche bun), sweet potato fries, and pretzel knots for the kids.

Two Doors Down is the burger- and beer-focused restaurant owned by the same folks as the BottleNeck Lounge. It is located, literally, two doors down from BottleNeck. Between it all, expect to find a dozen pumpkin beers and ciders on tap.
