Lunar New Year Kickoff Celebration on Saturday, February 10th. Other events and more beer releases mark the occasion.
Seattle’s Lucky Envelope Brewing is a culturally inspired craft brewery, founded by some folks who are proud of their cultural heritage. The brewery’s name itself is a nod to that heritage. On Lunar New Year and other days of celebration, it’s a Chinese tradition to give the gift of a lucky red envelope containing some sort of gift or prize. Celebrating Chinese New Year is an annual tradition at the brewery and taproom in Ballard, a celebration involving red envelopes, beer, and more.
According to the Chinese zodiac, 2024 is the year of the dragon. Starting on Thursday, February 8th, Lucky Envelope Brewing has a celebration planned to commemorate the new year. Join them as they welcome the dragon.
The dragon is the fifth animal in the 12-year Chinese zodiac. It is considered a powerful and vivacious creature with strong self-awareness. The dragon represents auspiciousness and power. How will it manifest itself in the coming year? That remains to be seen, but a party at a brewery is always a good way to kick things off. Lucky Envelope Brewing invites you to enjoy the following festivities and beers. Find all the details below.
