In January Janet Spindler, co-owner and brewer at Spinnaker Bay Brewing, was diagnosed with stage II non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. The prognosis is good, but her treatment will involve several rounds of chemotherapy. Cancer treatment and the associated challenges gets very expensive very fast, so her fellow brewers are stepping up and joining forces help Janet get through the battle.
On Saturday, March 12th, Pike Brewing Company is hosting a fundraiser at it’s pub in downtown Seattle and the public is invited. Actually, the event will take place in the brewery beneath the restaurant. The event will include live music, snacks, a silent auction, and lots of beer. The event goes from 5:00 – 9:00.
A $5.00 entry donation is suggested. Silent auction gifts are being donated by local breweries, including Stoup Brewing, Populuxe Brewing, Reuben’s Brews, Tin Dog Brewing, Orlison Brewing Co, Elysian Brewing Company, Two Beers Brewing Co, Flying Bike Cooperative Brewery, Central Pizza, Schilling Cider and many more to come.
Music will be provided by Sid Law 5:00-6:00, The Cool Kids 6:00-7:00, Stardrums & Lady Keys 7:00-8:00, and The New Rhythmatics 8:00-9:00.

100% of the proceeds from beer sales will be donated to Janet and we encourage guests to “buy a beer for Janet”, by paying double for their beers and donating extra.
Light snacks and appetizers will be served and guests are welcome to stop in upstairs at the restaurant for dinner.
The silent auction will close at 8:00 pm so make sure you are there to place your bids!
