Beer enthusiasts around the Seattle area are probably already familiar with Bob’s Brown Ale, the beer released annually by Georgetown Brewing to benefit Ronald McDonald House. If you are unaware of the beer and the story behind it, you should read the story I wrote a few years ago. Georgetown has brewed this beer each year since 2006.

The brewery doesn’t like to toot its own horn, because that’s not the point, but suffice it to say that a few years ago the ongoing Bob’s Brown Ale project easily passed the $1 million mark. The amount of money donated to Ronald McDonald House continues to grow. And all you have to do to support the cause is drink the beer. It’s out there right now. Look for special events at beer bars around the area. Stay informed and follow Georgetown Brewing on social media.

Another way you can help is to participate in Bob’s Bowl-a-Rama. The event takes place at West Seattle Bowl on Friday, September 20th. It’s a fun, raucous event. The crew from the brewery will be there and they’re bringing beer with them, including Bob’s Brown Ale. Registration is now open. The event will likely sell out, so get your reservation NOW! See more details below.
