Saturday, August 29th at the taproom in Ballard
The breadth of styles and flavors is impressive, but it is the intention and thought that went into the beers that I find particularly admirable. The best beers, IMHO, come from that place: intention.
Yinz Jawn Pennsylvania Lager earned a silver medal at the 2026 World Beer Cup. It was a collaboration between Lucky Envelope Brewing and Triceretops Brewing intended to pay homage to the two breweries’ shared Pennsylvania roots. The reward? It received a World Beer Cup medal at the awards ceremony in… wait for it… Philadelphia.
Another collab project resulted in Ground Provisions Harvest Lager. Working with Larry Rock of White Bluffs Brewing, Lucky Envelope created this beer to honor the crops African-Caribbean slaves grew for sustenance. Ground Provisions refers to a group of starchy crops, part of the foundational agricultural system that allowed enslaved Africans to survive the brutal realities of plantation slavery.

Those are just two of the five beers Lucky Envelope Brewing releases at its taproom in Seattle on Saturday, August 29th. More info below, direct from the brewery.

Beer Releases:
- Ground Provisions Harvest Lager
Collaboration with White Bluffs Brewing
(5.5% ABV) – A historic lager brewed with sweet and russet potatoes, crafted in collaboration with White Bluffs Brewing and our friend Larry Rock. The name honors the starchy crops African-Caribbean slaves grew for sustenance, while the beer itself reimagines the German pre-Reinheitsgebot Kartoffelbier. Expect a striking copper-colored lager with notes of dark-toasted bread and a floral earthiness from the potato and classic noble hops. Available on draft and in cans. - Guava Lava Sour Ale (5.7% ABV) – A tart, refreshing ale that pairs juicy guava puree with the spicy kick of Thai bird’s eye chilis. The floral tropical sweetness balances beautifully against the bright acidity and moderate chili heat, creating a layered flavor profile that evolves with each sip. Available on draft and in cans.
- Comet Hazy IPA (6.4% ABV) – This Hazy IPA showcases Comet hops, which deliver notes of pithy grapefruit, lime zest, fresh grass, and pine. It’s supported by Citra pellets and Centennial Incognito to amplify tropical and citrus flavors. This is also the perfect excuse to feature more space cats on a can label. Available on draft and in cans.
- Yinz Jawn Pennsylvania Lager (4.6% ABV) – The Yinz Jawn Lager is our take on the classic Pennsylvania Amber Lager, a style rooted in the legacy of America’s oldest brewery. This beer started as a collaboration between Rob (Yinz) of Triceratops Brewing and Barry (Jawn) of Lucky Envelope, and is brewed with corn, Weyermann malt, and German hops as a nod to our shared Pennsylvania Dutch roots. Yinz thirsty? Grab some of this jawn! Available on draft and in cans.
- Pumpkin Emoji Cream Stout (6.0% ABV) – The Pumpkin Emoji Cream Stout is how we imagine fall would taste if it were squeezed into a glass. Real pumpkin puree and a mix of pie spices blend deliciously with the stout’s flavors of cocoa and coffee beans. Lactose and flaked oats balance out bold dark malts creating a creamy smoothness not unlike a “PSL”-perfectly spiced latte. Allergen Warning: Contains Lactose. Available on draft and in cans.
