Hop Mob returns to Seattle on Saturday, February 7th

February brings the biggest, hoppiest beers of all

The concept was hatched more than a decade ago. Over the years, Hop Mob has changed and evolved. Originally, the focus was firmly on Washington-brewed triple IPAs. At one point, it was dubbed a roadshow and featured events across the state. Then, the focus switched to any beer of exceptional hop character. Now, Hop Mob returns to its origins: a single event focused on triple IPA.

This year, Hop Mob is one single event held at Reuben’s Brews in Seattle, but the focus remains on the biggest, boldest, and hoppiest beers. In addition to Reuben’s own creations, the event includes a selection of Triple IPAs from other breweries across the region.

“Reuben’s Brews is pleased to announce that the most intense celebration of lupulin in the Pacific Northwest is back,” said the announcement from Reuben’s Brews. “While the event is more intimate than the roadshows of years past, the mission remains the same: a dedicated display of the biggest, boldest, and hoppiest Triple IPAs in the region.”

“Hop Mob was born over ten years ago as a challenge to the industry—a way for Washington brewers to prove they could craft world-class Triple IPAs that rivaled the most famous names in the country. At its height, the series featured legendary “kickoff” events with as many as 50 local Triple IPAs on tap simultaneously.”

The Heavyweights: Blimey and Triple Crush

At Hop Mob, Reuben’s Brews will showcase two of the most acclaimed beers in the state:

  • Blimey That’s Bitter!: Currently Washington’s highest-rated IPA on Beer Advocate, this 10.5% ABV powerhouse is famous for its “ludicrous” amount of late-addition hops and intense citrus-pine aroma.
  • Triple Crush: This limited can release of a taproom exclusive is one of the most popular and anticipated releases of the year. The Triple Hazy IPA offers a massive, pillowy body with explosive tropical fruit character.

A Curated PNW Lineup

The 2026 revival is a focused, high-quality “takeover” at the Reuben’s Brews Ballard Taproom. In addition to the host’s lineup, the event will feature guest Triple IPAs from a curated selection of PNW breweries known for their hop mastery, including Burke-Gilman Brewing, Sound To Summit Brewery, and more.

“Hop Mob has always been about community and showcasing what our region does best,” says Adam Robbings, Co-Founder of Reuben’s Brews. “By having the event at our taproom we can celebrate the Triple IPA style in the way it was meant to be experienced—fresh, bold, and alongside the people who love it.”
