Seattle brewery donating portion of beer sales to support the rebuilding of Puerto Rico, hosting a Halloween party later this month.

Hellbent Brewing in Seattle is stepping up to support Puerto Rico, which continues to recover from Hurricane Maria’s widespread devastation. For the entire month of October the brewery will donate one dollar for every pint of Funky Red Patina it sells at its Lake City taproom to Solarize Puerto Rico, an organization committed to rebuilding a stronger, more sustainable Puerto Rico. On October 27th the company hosts a Halloween party to further support the cause.

The Beer N Bones Blacklight Bash will feature a pig roast, a costume contest, raffle prizes and more. For the event, Hellbent Brewing will transform the usually cozy taproom to host the “Blacklight Forest of Doom Hell-o-ween Party.” The event includes the release of Hellbent’s winter beer, Warm Fuzzies Winter Ale, and a portion of the proceeds from the sale of that beer supports Solarize Puerto Rico, as do all proceeds from the party. Here’s the official invite to the party:

We’re roasting a pig and have veggie options that’ll be ready (with rice and beans from Mojito) around 3pm! Suggested donation: $10. The entire profits from the food will go directly to Solarize Puerto Rico.

We’re toasting this spooky celebration with the release of the 2018 Warm Fuzzies Winter Ale… and what could taste better than a freshly tapped ale? Knowing that your purchase is helping a great cause. We’ll be donating $1 of each glass purchased to Solarize Puerto Rico.

Their current project is to solarize and complete an energy retrofit for: Escuela Ecológica Niños Uniendo al Mundo, in Caguas, Puerto Rico. The school educates children about environmental sustainability, gives children direct contact with nature, and develops their ecological responsibility and their love to our land and its resources as part of their academic growth.

Help us solarize this school to make it resilient during times of disasters and also to create a solar power oasis for their community.

SPR is a 501c3 non-profit, all of your donations are tax deductible. Thank you for your support.
