Haze Fest at Reuben’s Brews, marks Seattle Beer Week, kind of

Looking at my Facebook memories is a little bit depressing right now. It’s Seattle Beer Week, as it has been for the past 12 years. Obviously, things are different this year, and that’s rather sad. Really, I should just celebrate the fact that things aren’t as different as they were last year. Still, the stream of FB memories, with pictures of crowded beer events where I hugged so many maskless friends… (heavy sigh).

Although Seattle Beer Week is a bit more understated this year, it is still Seattle Beer Week and Reuben’s Brews will not be deterred. It’s not really possible to host big, crowded events right now but the brewery has created a way for one of its most popular SBW events to endure! Haze Fest lives! Here’s how.

Here’s the announcement from Reuben’s Brews.

We’re bummed we can’t host regular events at the Taproom yet, but we still want to mark Seattle Beer Week with a taste of one of our most popular events each year: Haze Fest!⠀

Starting off, our HAZE PACK drops this Friday: a special mixed four-pack of hazy IPAs, including three beers that are available exclusively in this four-pack and on tap. This year the beers are:⠀

  • Alpenglow: Riwaka Edition – a new release of our Alpenglow hazy IPA with New Zealand Riwaka hops for extra fruit juiciness.⠀
  • Reuben’s Virtual Crush 2021 – featuring Citra, Mosaic, and Idaho 7 as voted by you!⠀
  • This Charming Can – Why pamper life’s complexity when the mouthfeel runs smooth on this hazy IPA? A delicious imperial kviek hazy IPA.⠀
  • Nordic Haze – Our returning favorite celebrating the unique character of kviek yeast and the Scandinavian community in Ballard. ⠀

We will have a tap takeover of hazy beers – including special IPAs, fruited sours, even seltzer! – this Friday, May 14th at our Taproom. Do note that this is NOT a traditional “event” and we will not have any extra capacity, so please be patient if we are busy. Most of the beers should be available in to the weekend!⠀

Nordic Haze is available in 4-packs on its own and is in limited distribution, but the Haze Pack and the other three beers are taproom exclusive.
