Fremont Oktoberfest, Seattle’s largest and oldest beer festival, is rapidly approaching. The event takes place on the streets of Fremont from Friday, September 21st thru Sunday, September 23rd. Along with other event information, we share the brewery and beer lineup below. (Remember, when purchasing tickets use promo code WABEER and you’ll get two extra tasting tokens.)

Find me at the event on Friday and say something nice about the blog. I’ll buy you a beer. I think I’ll start with something light, like a Hydra Pils from Jellyfish Brewing, move my way up to a Pacific Crest Pale from Dru Bru, and eventually find my way to The Dissident from Deschutes Brewery. See what I can find along the way.

Costumes are welcome, and there will certainly be plenty of Oktoberfest-themed fun, but the real focus here is the beer. See our previous post to learn more about all of the activities, including the sports bar tent, dog days, and more. Currently the list includes nearly 80 different draft beers. For those of you with the big eye, you can go Buxom.

Go Big or Go Home

You can upgrade your festival mini-mug (5-oz taster mug) to a full-size stein or boot at the Buxom Beer Garden. You are welcome to wander the entire festival with your super-sized beer.

Two ways to go Buxom:

  1. Head straight to the stein and purchase Festival Admission (no mini mug or tokens required).
  2. Enjoy your BIG beer in addition to the General or Grand Admission (still get those mini mugs, tokens, and craft beer sampling)

Get your stein or boot, with the first fill, for $20. Refills $10. Buxom beer choices include German classics: Spaten Premium Lager, Spaten Oktoberfest, and Franziskaner Weissbier.
