Some news today from Floating Bridge Brewing in Seattle. Along with the release of three new beers (one of them a fresh hop ale), they’ve expanded the hours at the tasting room and are looking to hire a new tasting room manager. Here are the details from the brewery.

Tuesday, September 26, Floating Bridge Brewing in the University District will release its Loral Fresh Hop brew. Loral is an exciting, recently released hop variety with a clean floral and slightly spicy taste. Floating Bridge Brewer Russ Cornell says he was off to Yakima less than an hour after getting the call the hops were almost ready, bringing home freshly harvested Loral hops cones which were added at three points – first wort hop, in the whirlpool and in the hopback.
Also releasing on Tuesday is the Northwest Festbier – their take on a classic Oktoberfest. It starts with a base of Pilsner, Vienna and Munich malts for a bready, malt forward flavor. Finished with Northwest hops for a touch more hop character than its continental peers.
And coming soon, the return of Chai Pale Ale. This Fall seasonal, spiced with ginger, nutmeg, black pepper & clove has a very passionate following, and numerous requests for it rolled in the moment the temperature dropped below 70 degrees in Seattle. Look for it in the tasting room in mid-October.
New Hours
Floating Bridge Brewing is also now open every day of the week – recently adding Monday and Tuesday 4pm-10pm. The new nights are perfect times for game nights (Dominion & Splendor on Tues 9/26) and for one of the most requested activities – Trivia.
