The women of Dru Bru, Yakima Chief Hops, and Country Malt Group joined forces to create a bold and unique beer that’s truly the life of the party. Dru Bru introduces this year’s Alpha Female, a Rosé IPA.
“This beer doesn’t fit into any one style; it is a little bit West Coast IPA, a little bit Brut IPA, and fully pink and fun,” said the release announcement. “Exclusively featuring the specially crafted Pink Boots Hop Blend and Malt Blend, this ale is bursting with tropical and citrus fruit aromas, backed with light, balanced malt aromas, and comes across crisp and lightly dry. We also added a splash of dragonfruit to complement the hops and give it a fun and brilliant pink color. What’s more to love?”
Dru Bru crafted this beer for the Pink Boots Society to celebrate and support the women who brew, sell, pour, and drink craft beer. What’s With All the Pink Boots?
What is the Pink Boots Society? What is a Pink Boots Beer? Why is it important? The Pink Boots Society is a non-profit organization with members around the world. The Pink Boots Beers are brewed by breweries around the globe that make use of the Pink Boots Blend (hops) and the Pink Boots Malt (barley) to create beers that benefit the organization.
The Pink Boots Society’s mission is to support women and non-binary people working in the fermented beverage industry and allied industries. The organization helps women and non-binary individuals advance their careers through educational opportunities. The Pink Boots Society also works to provide mentorship, facilitate professional and personal networking, and raise awareness of women in these traditionally male-dominated industries. It trains people to become beer and beverage judges. It raises money for scholarships. There are thousands of members globally, all of whom are women or non-binary people with some type of career in a fermented beverage industry.
