A little bird landed on my shoulder recently and told me to ask Aslan Brewing about its plans to open a new location in Seattle. The Bellingham-based brewery already operates three locations. The Aslan Brewpub and Aslan Depot are both in Bellingham. Aslan Seattle is in Seattle’s Fremont neighborhood. Next up, a new location in Seattle’s Tangletown neighborhood (between Wallingford and Green Lake).
“We’re excited to be opening a new Aslan taproom in Seattle’s Tangletown neighborhood,” said Sadie Santiago, Marketing Manager at Aslan Brewing. “While we’re still finalizing details, we can share that the space will feature our organic beer alongside natural wine, cider, hard kombucha, and cocktails! We’ll also have a selection of small bites, with more details on the food program to come.”
The Puget Sound Business Journal reports that the food program will be designed with help from local chef and restauranteur Ethan Stowell. Aslan Brewing currently operates three locations. The flagship location is the Aslan Brewpub in Bellingham. Aslan Depot is a 21+ establishment one block away from the brewpub. In 2019, Aslan opened Aslan Seattle, a 21+ taproom in Seattle’s Fremont neighborhood. “One of the things we’re most excited about is that this location will be all ages, making it a welcoming space for everyone in the community,” said Santiago.
The location will seem familiar if you’ve been around the Seattle beer scene for a minute. It’s basically the same location as Burgundian Bistro, an upscale beer-focused taproom and eatery that closed in 2020. More recently, another restauranteur split the space into two businesses: Darkalino’s, an Italian concept restaurant, and Lil Woody, a burger joint. Aslan Tangletown is located at 2256 N 56th Street, Seattle, WA 98103.
