It hasn’t been a big secret, but the brewery wanted to hold off on the announcement until it was certain the plan was coming together as expected. Today, Reuben’s Brews announced that this summer it will open another taproom. This one will be in downtown Seattle, near Pike Place Market and the Seattle waterfront.
This will be the company’s second satellite taproom and its third location, all told: the taproom at the brewery in Ballard, a taproom in Fremont, and now a downtown taproom. We will update you as soon as we have a firm opening date. In the meantime, here is the announcement as it appeared in the press release from Reuben’s Brews:
REUBEN’S BREWS TO OPEN NEW TAPROOM IN DOWNTOWN SEATTLE
The Location Near Pike Place Market Will Welcome Visitors for Food and Drink This Summer
SEATTLE, WA (April 2, 2025) Reuben’s Brews, the award-winning, family brewery founded in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood, is proud to announce its newest taproom in the heart of downtown Seattle. This expansive new space brings the signature hospitality, thoughtfully brewed beers, and community-driven spirit that Reuben’s is known for to the city’s urban core.
Located at 1201 First Avenue, the Downtown Taproom will offer something for everyone, including 28 taps of beer, cider, seltzer, and non-alcoholic offerings as well as a full menu of beer-friendly American pub fare. Featuring abundant natural lighting, ample seating indoors and out, flat screen TVs for Mariners, Seahawks, and Sounders games, and freshly packaged beer-to-go, Reuben’s Brews Downtown will be a relaxing gathering space for any occasion.
“We’ve always believed that beer builds community,” says co-founder Grace Robbings. “Opening a taproom downtown lets us connect with a greater number of locals, tourists, and commuters. It also allows us to craft relationships with more nonprofit organizations, something that we actively pursue through our work with the Reuben’s Brews Foundation.”
Steps from Pike Place Market, the Seattle Art Museum, and the city’s waterfront attractions, not to mention its easy walking distance to the stadium district, Reuben’s Brews Downtown is the ideal location for a satisfying meal, a quick drink between activities, or an impromptu gathering of friends and family. In the future, the space will also host entertainment, watch parties, and community events on occasion throughout the year.
“We’re very excited to be part of the energy that has renewed the historic waterfront,” says co-founder Adam Robbings. “And in our typical glass backwards approach to problem solving, we ended up with a taproom that checked all of the boxes by combining a former grocery store and a fashion retailer into a single place for award-winning beer and craveable food.”
The new Downtown Taproom opens to the public in the early summer of 2025; the official date will be announced in the coming weeks. The grand opening will kick off a weekend-long, all-ages celebration that will include limited beer releases, fun giveaways, and a new offering brewed exclusively for this festive occasion.
