Camp Colvos Brewing opens in Tacoma

The Newest Addition to Tacoma’s Brewery Blocks is from Vashon Island

As we previously reported, the new taproom is located in the Brewery Blocks development, not far from some other breweries, including 7 Seas Brewing, Black Fleet Brewing, E9 Brewing, and Sig Brewing.

“We are a community-supported brewery and selecting Tacoma as our second location was really a no-brainer,” said Camp Colvos’ co-founder and owner, Matt Lawrence. “We are beyond excited to bring our  brewery to Tacoma.”

“We want people to be excited to stop in and grab a slice or try the latest creation on tap,” says Lawrence. “We want to be the community brewery where families hang out or grab a pizza to-go.”

“I’m passionate about the dough-making process and what happens during fermentation. Our pizza is simple and excellent. No pickles and peanut butter pizza here; we are taking a more traditional approach.”

The Camp Colvos Brewing outpost in Tacoma features more than 18 beers on tap, spirits, hand-forged pizzas, and patio seating. The 2,800 square foot space features a stand-up granite bar running the length of the taproom that accommodates casual, pop-in diners as well as patrons that want to hunker down. The brewery also intends to feature live music performed by local musicians.
