Choose from, and sample, over 30 barleywines at this annual Seattle beer event

For the 22nd year, Hardliver Barleywine Festival invites beer lovers to enjoy the biggest, boldest, and most badass beers out there. The annual takes place at Brouwer’s Cafe in Seattle this weekend: February 24th and 25th. The lineup of breweries (shared below) is impressive and includes a couple of breweries that no longer exist. In other words, vintage brews from Hair of the Dog and Anchor Brewing, among many others.

“That’s right, next weekend we will be hosting the 22nd Hardliver Fest,” said Brouwer’s Cafe on social media. “We have been saving and stockpiling these beers throughout the years. While we used to pour as many as 50 or more, this year we are planning on having over 30 on draft.”

Yeah, not quite as robust as it once was, but a taplist that includes 30-plus barleywines is still pretty remarkable. If you attend, they ask that you order your beer by size/volume and number, which will help keep things moving efficiently.
