Blackbeard’s Brewing how open in Westport

Back in April we happened to be in Westport, Washington visiting Westport Brewing Company. As we chatted with Robin Duus, the brewery’s owner, she mentioned that another brewery was preparing to open in Westport.

We soon found ourselves at the future home of Blackbeard’s Brewing, a new brewery and pizza joint that is now open in Westport. At the time, just over a month ago, their predicted opening date (Memorial Day Weekend) seemed unrealistic, but they hit the mark and opened for business last weekend.

Blackbeard’s Brewing is located in a freestanding building that resembles a large cabin, at the corner of Forrest Street and Ocean Avenue. “Where the Forrest meets the Ocean,” as they like to say.

We were pleasantly surprised to find that it’s a full-sized brewery and not a nano-brewery. (I think it was a 7-barrel or 10-barrel brewhouse.)
