Bacon and Beer Classic returns to Seattle on April 28th

On Saturday, April 28th the Bacon and Beer Classic returns to Seattle’s Safeco Field for the 5th year. The event features bacon-infused food from a number of local restaurants along with beers from several local and regional breweries. Beyond that, a blind beer taste test, a bacon eating contest, lawn games, music, and some all-new anniversary surprises throughout the concourse.

Breweries involved in this year’s Bacon and Beer Classic include Icicle Brewing, Fremont Brewing, Two Beers Brewing, Dick’s Brewing, Sumerian Brewing, Ten Pin Brewing, Iron Horse Brewery, Hellbent Brewing, Fort George Brewing, Wild Ride Brewing, Belching Beaver Brewing and many others.

There are three different levels of tickets with prices ranging from $65  – $115. There are two sessions: afternoon and evening. Ticket prices are higher for the evening session.

General Admission tickets ($59 – $65) get you in the door, a commemorative glass, three hours of unlimited food and beer, games, and entertainment.

The Power Hour ($79 – $85) gets you all of that plus entrance into the stadium an hour earlier than GA.

The VIP package ($109 – $115)  includes everything that the Power Hour includes plus entry into a  lounge on the warning track and dugouts, a pork belly tasting, a donut wall and pulled pork sandwiches. You also get to taste exclusive beers and a new limited edition beer brewed just for the Classic. There will be a certified cicerone on hand to answer your beer questions.

  1. I loved the event the first two years we went, but was very disappointed in last year’s food and beer offerings.
