For the inaugural West Seattle Beer and Music Festival, event organizers set high expectations and high standards. They are not limping into this thing. Instead, they are hitting the ground running, offering four different sessions across the weekend of Friday, August 24 through Sunday, August 26. Also, they are not taking the easy way out and offering run-of-mill beers that you see everyday: they’re bringing in the good stuff. Along with that, live music, tasty food, cocktails and more.
The event will offer over 70 different beers (some familiar beers alongside many specialty beers) from 25 local and not-so-local breweries. What’s more, the event offers an optional, upscale experience in the Barrel Lounge, where they’ll focus on barrel-aged beers from some beloved producers.

Event Details
- The West Seattle Beer and Music Festival is a 3-day community festival (Friday, August 24 thru Sunday, August 26) that will offfer something for every palate. Along with an amazing selection of unique beers and spirits, festivalgoers can enjoy customized food pairings from local culinary heroes and an event soundtrack of live music throughout the weekend.
- The Barrel Lounge provides a different world within the larger festival, offering exclusive barrel-aged craft beers in a setting that allows for cigar pairing.
- A Spirits Lounge will offer hand-crafted cocktails.
- The “Sips and Bites” pop-ups, which will occur daily, are curated by local culinary stars who are working directly with festival brewmasters to create exclusive gastronomic experiences–thoughtful beer and food pairings.
- On Sunday, Dog Day will open the gates for pups and the afternoon will include delicious BBQ to close out the weekend.
Tickets/Access

Limited and VIP ticket offerings are available and include amenities like early-access, preferred seating, special drinks, private restrooms, custom t-shirts, private pours and epicurean creations.

The event takes place outdoors at the Alki Masonic Center near the West Seattle Junction (aka Downtown West Seattle). Consider taking the bus. It’s a very bus-friendly destination. Maybe combine the bus with some other form of trouble-free transportation. There are a number of bus routes that will get you to the festival, including Rapid Ride C Line and Metro routes 21 and 50.

Beneficiary
Attendees will be sipping for a cause with ticket proceeds benefiting WestSide Baby, a local non-profit group dedicated to providing babies, children, and in-need families the basics of life, like diapers, clothing, and cribs.
WestSide Baby is the only social service agency in the West King County area that collects, inspects and distributes free diapers, clothing, cribs and safety gear for babies and children. More than 114 local social service agencies, including shelters and food banks, rely upon WestSide Baby to provide critical necessities for low-income families.
