The Washington Brewers Guild just announced the appointment of some new officers. Also introduces the full slate of board members. The role of the Guild is to represent Washington’s breweries in matters of politics and policy, and also to foster a spirit of camaraderie among the state’s 300+ breweries. It is separate from the Washington Beer Commission, which the state created to promote Washington beer. The Commission operates WABL and runs the annual Washington Brewers Festival (among others). The Guild goes to Olympia and works to protect the industry.
