Two upcoming events in Seattle, that involve beer, support the important cause of ensuring that our breweries continue to have access to clean, fresh water.
Washington Brewshed® Alliance is the beer-focused arm of Washington Wild. As such, the Alliance works with breweries and beer industry members to advance an important, shared interest: protecting our state’s waterways. After all, it takes great water to make great beer. Nearly 90 beer industry partners across Washington support the Brewshed Alliance, including the Washington Beer Blog.
Sure, accomplishing the really important stuff involves intense stuff like finding support for legislation on the state and national level, and seeing that policy is changed for the better, but it also involves raising public awareness. That’s where these events, and you, enter the plan. Come to events like these, have a beer, have fun, learn some stuff, and support a cause that all true beer lovers should embrace.

DamNation Film Screening

Join staff from WA Wild, Sierra Club, and Idaho Conservation League at Stoup Brewing’s newest location in Capitol Hill for a screening of DamNation. The documentary film, which celebrates the success of the Elwha River dam removal and restoration, begins at 6:30pm, followed by a 30-minute panel discussion focused on current efforts to remove the four Lower Snake River dams.
