Much of what’s happening on the local beer scene still focuses around fresh hop beer, which I am not going to start complaining about. The season will change soon enough. Here are my thoughts about what to do this weekend. As always, use the comments section below to tell us about something we missed and don’t forget about our events calendar and events submission form.
Beveridge Place Fresh Hop Festival. Saturday. Enjoy fresh hop creations from 50 breweries and cideries. Served up festival-style, inside and out, rain or shine — they’re taking over the parking lot.
R-Day in Seattle. Saturday. Yep, Rainier Beer is taking over the streets of Georgetown. Free admission. An impressive lineup of bands. Georgetown Brewing even brewed up a special beer for the occasion and they’ll pour it in the beer garden alongside Seattle’s original, iconic beer brand (Rainier, duh).
Fresh Hop Fests at The Beer Junction and The Growler Guys. Both of these places continue to let fresh hop beers dominate their massive tap lists.
Bothell Underground Beer Festival. Saturday. The parking garage will be transformed into a beer fest in downtown Bothell. An impressive lineup of breweries.
Great Pumpkin Beer Festival. Friday and Saturday. What started out as a little event at Elysian’s original Cap Hill location has grown into a mighty festival at Seattle Center. AND IT COMPLETELY SOLD OUT. Maybe you can find some tickets, but they won’t have them at the door.
