Gabe Gorton opened Taneum Creek Brewing in 2016. A few years later, in 2020, the brewery closed its taproom. Gabe (above) continued to produce beers, focusing on his sour ale and wild ale programs, offering the beers on a limited basis via a bottle club.

Recently, Taneum Creek Brewing announced that it will reopen in a new location in downtown Cle Elum (512 E 1st St, Cle Elum, WA 98922). It’s on the main drag through town just a couple of doors down from Owens Meats, which will delight discerning carnivores. We will keep an eye on things and share any news about the new location’s opening date but in the meantime…

Taneum Creek Brewing is expanding its bottle club to help fund the new location. I provide some info about the bottle club below. For complete details, visit the Taneum Creek Brewing website.

“In order to help us make a new tasting room happen we are reopening our Bottle Club to include a total of 100 spots. Currently there are 25 spots taken so there are now 75 additional spots up for grabs. What’s the deal with the Bottle Club you may ask? Well here are the perks:

  • Each yearly membership gets one case of 12-750ml bottles. The case will consist of 6 different beers, 2 bottles of each. We will split these in to 2 releases each consisting of 3 different beers, 2 bottles each. The early release can be shipped (free of charge), picked up in person, or deferred until the second release for a complete case. All bottles will need to be picked up or shipped by a month after the second release. Any bottles still in our possession after the month will be forfeited and available to the general public.
  • We are planning one member only event per year. This event will be part of the second release where members can pick up their beer in person. Details are TBD but will likely be in the late summer/fall, hopefully will be located at our future tasting room or somewhere else in or near Cle Elum, and will probably be catered. If you can’t make the event we can ship the beer free of charge anywhere in Washington State.
  • Early access to new releases. We will send you an email one week before releases with the option to preorder if you choose. This includes cans or bottles. You’ll also get first crack at any additional Bottle Club bottles.
  • 15% off online and in person purchases. As a Bottle Club Member you will get 15% off any retail purchases from us for the year.”
