Tacoma Beer Week runs from August 1st thru August 6th. Throughout the week there will be several events intended to celebrate Tacoma’s robust and growing brewing scene.
Last week we told you about the Beer Fest of Destiny on August 6th, but other notable events are being planned throughout the week. Keep an eye on the official Tacoma Beer Week website for details.
Along with events, a group of local brewers collaborated to make a commemorative Tacoma Beer Week beer, a collaboration IPA. Breweries involved in the project included Gig Harbor’s 7 Seas Brewing (coming soon to Tacoma), Harmon Brewing, Narrows Brewing, Pacific Brewing, Odd Otter Brewing, Wingman Brewers, Gig Harbor Brewing, Wet Coast Brewing, and Tacoma Brewing.

Each brewery contributed hops to the recipe. In the end, the hop bill included seven hop varieties: Amarillo, Azacca, Comet, Arcanum, Citra, Mosaic, and Bravo.
