Already one of Tacoma’s most innovative breweries, Wingman Brewers hosts their second annual PorterPalooza on January 18 at the brewery in Tacoma’s dome district.
While most beer festivals that cater to specific styles include beers from a wide variety of breweries, in the case of PorterPalooza, Wingman will offer creative variations on their flagship P-51 Porter.
If you go to Wingman enough times you’re almost sure to have noticed that variety in regular beers is something that they experiment with quite often, but this event’s haul boasts several variations on their Porter theme: Coconut, Hazelnut, Chocolate Milk, Chili Pepper, Peanut Butter Cup, Barrel-Aged Sour, all of which are pretty self explanatory, and Red Devil, Wingman’s take on a Devil’s Food Cake Porter.
For those that want to try all of these options, but that also want to drive home, Wingman will be offering tastes for each variation.
Also available the night of PorterPalooza will be Wingman’s Mighty HighPA, a collaboration beer with Tacoma jam band Mighty High Band that benefits Elements of Education, a local organization that supports quality education.
