Populuxe Brewing is about to celebrate its first anniversary. On Saturday, March 8th the brewery will celebrate with a big, all-ages day party that will last all day and into the night. The event features kids entertainment, live music, a special beer release, and food from Happy Grillmore. Lineup is below.

The special anniversary beer is Old Oddvars strong ale. Named after the locally famous auto shop which used to be housed at the brewery’s location, Populuxe Brewing designed Old Oddvars  to embrace the rich history of Ballard while celebrating the unwritten future of Populuxe Brewing. The beer features a mix of old and new world hops and malt, combined with English yeast and a long cold storage. This strong ale is described as dry, smooth, delicious and dangerously drinkable.
