In Washington, it’s not uncommon to see pFriem Family Brewers beers on shelves at better beer retailers. Beers like pFriem Pilsner and pFriem IPA, but fewer people are familiar with the Oregon brewery’s really creative and innovative stuff: barrel-aged beers, mixed fermentation beers, fruited sours, and so on. Those beers are stunning and really showcase the brewery’s prowess. And those are the kinds of beers that club members get to enjoy. Folks in Washington can now join the pFriemsters Union and get beer shipped to their doors.
One of these less-common pFriem Family Brewers beers that I enjoyed recently was a bottle of pFriem’s Druif Rouge. It’s a Lambic-inspired ale aged in French Oak barrels with Pinot Noir grapes. It was spectacular. Oh, and another… pFriem’s Nectarine Golden Ale is a Belgian-style golden ale that they age in Sauvignon Blanc barrels, to which they then add nectarines grown at a nearby orchard. Sublime beer. I’m drooling.
Washington beer consumers can now join the club and get in on the action. pFriem Family Brewers just announced that its beer clubs are now open to consumers in Washington, providing access to some excellent and exclusive beers. That is, Washington club members no longer need to cross the border and visit pFriem’s facility in Hood River, OR to get the beer. They’ll ship it to your door. This new option, in addition to the recently launched Artisan Club, enables Washington members to enjoy a variety of pFriem beers delivered right to their doorstep, complementing the existing membership parties that happen bi-annually in Seattle.
