The fun starts on Friday, May 17th, and runs through the 24th. Seattle Beer Week celebrates the Seattle area’s vibrant beer scene with events across the city. All kinds of events at various venues: brewery taprooms, pubs, etc. It all kicks off this Friday at 4:00. The official Seattle Beer Week Kickoff event happens at Old Stove Brewing in Ballard. Old Stove also brewed this year’s official SBW beer (more about that below).
Join the Seattle Beer Week crew starting at 4:00 when they’ll read the official beer proclamation — with all of the “whereas” and “therefore.” In fact, that’s the name of this year’s Beer Week beer: Whereas West Coast IPA. In addition to tapping the beer, there will be live music. You are encouraged to dress up as your favorite superhero, villain, or comic book character. That’s the theme of the party. Kids and dogs are welcome.
The Beer – Whereas West Coast IPA is loaded with Citra, Amarillo, and Mosaic hops over a clean malt bill. Whereas IPA is available now at all three Old Stove locations as well as the finer bottle shops and grocers.
