UPDATE, MARCH 8TH  –  Whiskey Ridge announced that the grand opening has been delayed. Stay tuned for further details, but no firm date for the grand opening has been announced yet.

Original Post:

Here’s some Washington state trivia for you. The town of Darrington was actually called Barrington. In the 1890s, not long after the town’s founders decided on that name, the US Postal Service screwed up and officially called it Darrington. The residents of Barrington apparently decided to go with it. The town has been called Darrington ever since.

Fast-forward about 115 years and you find the people of Darrington preparing to celebrate the opening of their very own brewery. Whiskey Ridge Brewing is slated to open in the shadows of majestic Whitehorse Mountain on Saturday, March 15 at 11:00 a.m. We first learned about the plan back in 2012 (see our original post). The brewery will be located in the Old City Hall building at 650 S. Emens, Darrington WA 98241 (MAP). Find Whiskey Ridge Brewing on Facebook.

Join us in celebrating our Grand Opening on March 15th!

Located in the Old City Hall, Whiskey Ridge Brewing Company is excited to open its doors just in time for St. Patrick’s Day. With a gorgeous view of Whitehorse Mountain, this micro-brewery plans to have at least six taps accommodating a wide variety of tastes. Craft beer lovers will be able to choose from the following: pale ale, Irish dry stout, oatmeal stout, kolsch, amber ale and two seasonal. In the future, two of these taps will be rotated with other local brewery offerings.
