Chuckanut Brewery is poised to release some new beers this fall. First up, they’ll release Chuckanut Bock near the end of October. This award-winning beer will be available on draft and in collector bottles. Keep an eye on Facebook for exact dates and locations.
Following the Bock release, on November 4th Chuckanut Brewery is releasing a new beer brewed in collaboration with Elizabeth Station and Primer Coffee. Chuckanut’s Ethiopean Kaffee Lager is a blend of the brewery’s award winning Dunkel Lager (three GABF gold medals) and Primer’s cold brew Ethiopian Gutiti coffee.
That aint all. Chuckanut also created a special beer in honor of the 30th Annual PNA Winter Beer Taste, Seattle’s oldest winter beer fest. Chuckanut New World German Hop Ale will be tapped at the festival on November 11, 2017.
For more information about all of these beers, here’s the official release notice straight from the brewery:

Chuckanut Brewery has you covered with the introduction to some new and old time favorites during the season. First up is the bottle release and tapping of Bock, a multi award winning heavy hitting lager beer available at the end of October. Either on draft at selected locations around Puget Sound and both Chuckanut Breweries and in collector bottles at South & North Nut. Bock makes a beautiful addition to the holiday table, watch facebook, Instagram & the website for tapping date.
The Bock release will be followed by a collaboration with Primer Coffee/ Elizabeth Station up the road from Chuckanut Brewery & Kitchen in Bellingham. Ethiopian Kaffee Dunkel will be tapped at the Coffee Beer Fest at Elizabeth Station on November 4. This special edition Dunkel Lager will only be available at Elizabeth Station and Chuckanut’s Kitchen in Bellingham and South Nut Tap Room in Skagit Valley.
In honor of the anniversary of the Phinney Neighborhood Winter Beer Taste in Seattle, Chuckanut has created a New World German Hop Ale to be tapped at the festival on November 11, 2017. Using new varietal German hops this ale has lively aromas and flavors that spice up Chuckanut’s basic pale ale recipe.
Chuckanut Bock is the winner of NW Brewing News Reader’s Choice Gold 2010 & 2012, and North American Beer Awards Gold 2015 & Silver 2009. Not always available but when it is, drinkers scramble to get it. This rich dark lager is full of dark fruits and toffee like flavors. Aged around 3 months at very cold fermentationtemperatures results in a smooth, easy to drink strong lager (6.3% ABV). Bottled in half liter size it makes a great gift to yourself and others!
Chuckanut’s Ethiopean Kaffee Lager is a blend of the award winning Dunkel Lager (won it’s 3rd GABF Gold Medal this year) and Primer’s cold brew EthiopianGutiti coffee. In this variation of our classic lager using the cold brew adds another layer of fruit forward slightly sweet coffee to the traditional malty Munchener dark lager. Made in extremely limited supplies it will be on tap until it runs out.
Chuckanut New World German Hop Ale is a moderate strength Pale Ale made unique with the use of new varietal German Hops. Polaris is added for bittering while late additions of Hallertau Blanc and Hull Melon give this ale notes of white grape, melon and berries. New World has just the right amount of hop bitterness not to over-power the senses but to end your taste buds on a slightly bitter note. Great with spicy foods we hope this will be a regular to our seasonal Ale line-up!
