You need not know me well to know that I love beer and food, especially when they are thoughtfully paired together. That said, I just learned about a series of tasting events happening today through Saturday at Metropolitan Market locations around the Seattle-Tacoma area.

Beer Tastings and Food Pairings in honor of Cinco de Mayo this Thursday-Saturday at Met Market

“Join us for a Northwest twist on the traditional Cinco de Mayo! Metropolitan Market is celebrating Cinco de Mayo with tasty, simple recipes from South of the Border and pairing them with local brews (plus one Belgian) for a NW twist on this fun holiday. Tastings are complimentary and consist of local and Belgian brews paired with Shrimp Ceviche, Chilled Avocado Soup, Chorizo, and Tres Leches Cake. Recipes will be demonstrated and prepared at each location, with ingredients immediately available to take home for your Cinco celebration! Beer tastings consist of 4-1 oz. pours. 21+ only for beer tastings; ID required.”
