Portland, Oregon’s Laurelwood Brewing opened 22 years ago. Along with a lot of accolades and awards for the beer, the brewpub on Northeast Sandy Boulevard was a fixture on the PDX beer scene for over two decades. Now, Laurelwood is closing the pub but will continue brewing beer.
A few months ago, Laurelwood Brewing announced that it was changing things up at its brewpub in Portland. The shift involved slimming down the food menu and switching from table service to counter service. Now, the company has announced that the pub will close entirely. For now, at least. The brewery will continue brewing and servicing accounts.
“It is with a heavy heart that we announce that the Laurelwood Pub will be closed until further notice,” said the announcement on social media. “We’d like to thank the hardworking staff that ran their butts off during burger week, and we’re extremely grateful for the current staff, former staff members, customers and friends that have all become Laurelwood family.”
“This isn’t ‘Goodbye’, and the Laurelwood Brewery is still open for business. We’ll continue to produce your favorites and you can visit www.laurelwoodbrewing.com to place keg and canned beer orders. We sincerely appreciate your support, and hope you’ll continue supporting our brand by frequenting your local watering hole that serves Laurelwood as well as all the dedicated corner markets and chain stores that carry our beer.”
“We’re working hard to expand our reach in Portland and beyond. Keep an eye on our Socials and website for more details and updates.” Facebook, Instagram.
