Updated 6/17/2021 – Most recent additions at the bottom of the list.
Welcome to Pride Month! When you read this post, you’ll notice that the word love appears a lot. It’s a common theme. That’s good. Love is something the world could use a lot of right now. Love, togetherness, tolerance, and respect. Put them all together and you get pride.
A number of breweries around the PNW stepped up this year to show their support of, their appreciation of, and their respect for Pride. Below, I share info about what they’ve done, as told in their own words, which I grabbed from social media. That’s also where I stole the images.
I have certainly missed some breweries, and certainly more breweries will make more announcements. I am very happy to add to this post. Please let me know.
Postdoc Brewing – More Love IPA
“This is a release we have been working towards for nearly a year. We are excited to celebrate #PrideMonth with this new release and to be donating proceeds from this beer to Pride Foundation. Both Pride Foundation and Postdoc Brewing value the right to live safely, openly, and genuinely in all the places we call home.”
“Now more than ever, the world needs More Love! This bright IPA blends the notes of mandarin oranges, red berries and stone fruit together with a soft mouthfeel to a light bitter finish. More Love is now on tap and available in cans in our taproom!”
Single Hill Brewing – Bold IPA
“This Saturday, we’re bringing back one of your favorite releases from last summer! Tomorrow is Today is what we call a Bold IPA: an IPA that boldly expresses the characteristics of its constituents hops, not one that tries to blend in with existing styles. Showcasing Loral, Mosaic, and Ekuanot hops, Tomorrow is Today is brimming with flavors of mango, cantaloupe, and strawberry.”
“Catch it on Saturday as it’s released alongside our limited-edition Pride T-shirts and stickers. The weather is looking good, so we think Saturday will be a bit of a party.”
Fremont Brewing – Pride Seattle Kolsch
“Pride, it’s not just about the rainbows, unicorns, and glitter; it’s about celebrating queerness and standing up for the safety and self-determination of the LGBTQ community. Really, it’s all about love.”
“Our goal with this beer is to create and foster a community for LGBTQ people and friends in the craft beer world. Be proud of who you are, who you like, and what you drink. A portion of the proceeds of this beer go to funding organizations supporting and fighting for the LGBTQ community. Here’s to Pride, here’s to you.”
Double Mountain Brewery – Basic Rights IPA
“Continuing support of LGBTQ+ rights, Double Mountain Brewery and Cidery is proud to release Basic Rights IPA and Pride Cider. Joining forces with local artist and pub favorite, Mark Nilsson, we created a greatly balanced IPA that would feature Mark’s talents and utilize a portion of the profits for donation and partnership with Basic Rights Oregon.” See our previous post for more details.”
Aslan Brewing – B Proud IPA
“Happy Pride Month! We’re stoked that B Proud is back for its third year in a row. This Hazy IPA has an aromatic punch of fruit stripe gum and guava with flavors of pineapple, grapefruit, and sweet orange.”
“With a large portion of wheat in the mash, this beer is very smooth, giving off piña colada vibes. Proceeds from B Proud will go to Northwest Youth Services and their Queer Youth Project. This program is dedicated to supporting and advocating for at-risk and homeless LGBTQ+ youth, through school-based youth supports, the Trans Fashion Treasury, free counseling, LGBTQ+ parent resources, and more.”
Reuben’s Brews – sponsor of Seattle Pride 2021
The brewery stepped up this year and signed on as a sponsor of Seattle Pride. Kind of a big deal. Way to go Reuben’s!
“Reuben’s Brews is a proud sponsor of Seattle Pride 2021 and we wish EVERYONE a joyful month of celebration. As with years past we do have a very special Pride shirt to release that will benefit Seattle Pride. Here’s a sneak peek of the design, which will be available next week.”
“Join us for this year’s “Resilience” events – we’ll be celebrating with @SeattlePride on June 26th – 27th! Visit http://seattlepride.org for more details. We recognize that the message and mission of Pride transcends a single month and we are proud to support our friends, family, colleagues, and our community all year long.”
“Keep an eye out for other ways that we’ll support Seattle Pride’s mission to create unity, honor diversity, and achieve equal human rights throughout our region and the world.”
Georgetown Brewing – 1969 IPA
“For the 50th anniversary of Pride, we are releasing 1969 IPA in remembrance of the contributions of people like Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera, two transgender women of color who were the first to resist during the Stonewall riots, beginning the fight for LGBTQ rights. 100% of proceeds will be donated to POCAAN, a multicultural, multi-social service agency committed to addressing health disparities experienced in marginalized communities. Hazy and golden, this IPA has flavors and aromas of mango, navel orange and cantaloupe from the Citra and Strata hops. Contains wheat.”
This year, Georgetown Brewing’s 1969 IPA benefits Lambert House. The mission at Lambert House is to empower lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning youth through the development of leadership, social, and life skills.
Bale Breaker Brewing – Rainbow Beard
“We’re clearly not trying to be subtle in our pride celebrations this month. Join us in the taproom today [June 9th] (rainbow beard not required), from 3-8pm, for the release of Rainbow Beard Kettle Sour, brewed in celebration of Pride Month. $1 of every pint sold will be donated to @yakimapride, who will also be on site to continue educating on their important work here in the valley!”
Burke-Gilman Brewing – No Closets Pale Ale and We Belong Here
“Pride month is a time to honor, celebrate and uplift the LGBTQ+ community. To that end, our brewer Julia Astrid Davis – herself a member of the community – decided to brew something classic but distinctive.”
“No Closets is a 5.7% classic American Pale Ale, bursting with pine and citrus character from a hefty Centennial and Chinook dry hop, backed by moderate bitterness and a slightly sweet malt note. .A portion of proceeds from this beer will go to @lamberthouse, a community center for LGBTQ+ youth serving the Seattle area. Come grab a pint and celebrate Pride!”
And they brewed a second beer: We Belong Here.
“One beer for Pride month wasn’t enough! We collab’d with @BoskBrew on a traditional amber Kellerbier, an unfiltered malty lager. W/flavorful malt character & a crisp noble hop finish, this beer belongs in your glass just like the LGBTQ community belongs here, and everywhere.”
A portion of the proceeds donated to Gender Justice League.
Deschutes Brewery – Bubbles & Brunch
“Happy Pride! Bubbles & Brunch is BACK! Inspired by our LGBTQIA+ co-owners, and Deschutes Brewery’s own long-standing support of equality and Pride NW, our Pride Beer makes us exactly that: Proud.”
“Proud of the diverse voices of our LGBTQIA+ community within Deschutes and the individual stories of love, of activism, of standing on the side of compassion, of overcoming heartbreaking obstacles, of being true to oneself, and of our company-wide commitment to equally treat everyone with respect, kindness, and dignity.”
“This Beerlini boasts champagne-like characteristics with a dry and effervescent finish. Head to our Pubs and Tasting Rooms to get your hands on a 6-pack of Bubbles & Brunch!”
Cloudburst Brewing – Refracted Light IPA
“Hey! It’s June! Which means it’s time for another batch of Refracted Light IPA to celebrate PRIDE! (ps – it’s always time to celebrate & advocate for our LQBTQIA+ community.) This year, we’ll be donating 10% of tasting room sales from this beer to @gaycity , a Cap Hill based, community driven organization that hosts a wide array of programs, services, & events – from free HIV testing & healthcare options, to fostering queer arts & culture, to supporting youth education. To help the spread the word about Gay City, we brewed a deliciously diverse IPA with Amarillo, Citra, Comet, Loral & Cascade hops.”

“New beer release today! Queer Beer IPA brewed in collaboration with @whitecenterpride available today in the taproom and around town.”
Rooftop Brewing – I Glitterally Can’t Even
“Last year was a rough one, but we brought back a June favorite this year! The “I Glitterally Can’t Even” is back for the whole month! This glittery cousin of our Glorious Basker is full of blood orange and blackberries…. oh and did we mention glitter?!”
“A portion of proceeds from sales of this beer will go to @genderjusticewa. The Gender Justice League’s mission is to empower all people to eliminate discrimination and prejudice based on sex, gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation in Washington State, and to ensure that trans and gender diverse people can live their lives safely, true to themselves, and free from discrimination.”
