This one seems like a natural fit. Hopworks Urban Brewery, a certified B Corp, teamed up with Northwest Trail Alliance to create a summer seasonal beer, Trail Time Summer IPA. A portion of the sales will benefit NWTA’s work building and maintaining mountain biking trails in Oregon and SW Washington.
Hop Works will host a release party for Trail Time IPA at its Powell Boulevard pub on Wednesday, May 10th, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Get the beer in 4-packs at Hopworks locations in Portland and Vancouver through August.

Hopworks Hits the Trail With Northwest Trail Alliance Collab Brew
Trail Time Summer IPA is Crafted Especially For Cyclists
PORTLAND, Ore. — May 8, 2023 — Certified B Corp Hopworks Brewery has released its new seasonal beer, Trail Time Summer IPA, in celebration of the great outdoors of the Pacific Northwest, and the thousands of miles of bike trails that wind through the forests and mountains of Oregon and Southwest Washington. The beer was crafted as a collaboration between Hopworks and the Northwest Trail Alliance (NWTA), which works to build and maintain mountain biking trails within a 60-mile radius around Portland. Their mission includes increasing access to the outdoors through off-road cycling.
Trail Time is a crushable, fruit-forward IPA with notes of pineapple, orange zest and papaya. It finishes light and crisp, with a nice, drying bitterness. The hop profile is a balanced blend of Chinook, El Dorado, Centennial, Strata and HBC 638 hops, providing a big, fruity boost. 6.5% ABV/50 IBU.
“NWTA builds trails that flow like beer—smooth and refreshing with a lot of hops!” said Hopworks Brewery founder Christian Ettinger. “We appreciate the work that NWTA does so much that we thought it only appropriate to brew the perfect post ride beer with them. Whether we are riding on a Thursday at Rocky Point or on the weekend at Sandy, we always end or ride with a big smile, trail stories and cold beer. Thanks to NWTA for making our trails so fun and accessible!”
Hopworks is hosting a release party for Trail Time at its Powell Boulevard pub on Wednesday, May 10th, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., with a share of the event proceeds going to the Northwest Trail Alliance. A portion of the sales from each 4-pack of Trail Time will also benefit the NWTA.
“It takes a strong community to keep over 250 miles of trail in good shape and Hopworks has been with us every step of the way. This new collaboration is another step in an amazing relationship that helps us keep the trails around Portland running clean,” said Jered Bogli, board president of the NWTA. “The money raised from this partnership will help the NWTA continue to advocate, maintain and build trails in the greater Portland area. We’d love to see everyone come out and support the NTWA and Hopworks on May 10 and pop into the pub anytime to buy a 4 pack which also supports the NWTA.”
Trail Time Summer IPA is available in 4-packs of 16-ounce cans at Hopworks Brewery’s Vancouver and Portland locations through August.
