Hop Harvest Kickoff Party, Fri & Sat at Bale Breaker Brewing

This Friday and Saturday Bale Breaker Brewing will celebrate the kickoff of the hop harvest. As you may know, Bale Breaker is located in Field 41, surrounded by acres and acres of sky-high hops. The harvest is about to begin in earnest, so get over there this weekend and bath in the lupulin goodness that currently fills the air.

Along with live music, food and beer, Bale Breaker will also have guest taps from Icicle Brewing – another Washington Brewery owned by hop-farming families.

Details about the weekend’s event can be found below.

What better place to celebrate the start of this year’s annual hop harvest than at a brewery surrounded by a field of Cascade hops? This weekend, hang out at Bale Breaker Brewing Company for our 1st Annual Hop Harvest Kickoff Weekend, where we’ll be featuring three guest taps from Icicle Brewing Company, a craft brewery from Leavenworth that was also started by a Yakima Valley hop growing family.

If sunshine, live music, food vendors, and cold beer doesn’t sound fun, then you should probably just stay home.

LIVE MUSIC: On Friday at 7pm, Impossible Bird, a killer duo from Seattle, will be jamming with us, thanks to NO Entertainment. $5 cover charge, available only at the door. Bring a blanket and get here early to grab a spot on the lawn! (And for you football fans, don’t worry…we’ll have the Seahawks/Packers pre-season game on in the taproom too!)

FOOD VENDORS: On Friday, Imogene’s of Yakima will be here dishing up their always-popular, fresh, local fare (4-9pm), and on Saturday, soak up the afternoon sun while filling up on gourmet turkey sausage dogs by Yakima’s Winey Dogs (12-8pm).

BEER: Six beers on tap this weekend! We’ll be pouring Icicle Brewing Company’s Colchuck Citrus Wheat, Bootjack IPA, and Priebe Porter, alongside our Field 41 Pale Ale, Topcutter IPA, and Double Bubba Imperial IPA.

WEATHER: Mid- to upper-80’s and sunshine? We’ll take it.
