This Saturday Gig Harbor Brewing Company celebrates its 3rd anniversary. The celebration takes place at the original brewery and taproom in Tacoma starting at 5:00. The event will include live music, raffles, and more. Here’s the announcement from the brewery.

People thought they were nuts when Gig Harbor Brewing opened their doors on S. Tacoma Way three years ago. “It will never wooorrrrk” most said. But unable to find suitable warehouse space in their namesake, they forged ahead with their brewery plans in the light-industrial area of south Tacoma.
This Saturday, 11/17, Gig Harbor Brewing will proudly celebrate their third year of operation at their original Tacoma brewery location. “I can’t believe it has already been 3 years,” said owner, John Fosberg. “It feels like 30, and I’ve never worked so hard in my life.”

Fosberg also said that things usually happen for a reason, and their Tacoma brewery location has served them well, allowing them more-affordable space, room to expand the brewery three times, easier access to I-5 for them and their distributors, and a tremendous amount of drive-by traffic on a very busy main city arterial.
Plans for the celebration include new beer releases, prize raffles, food, wheel spins for beer discounts, singer/songwriter Kristen Marlo, games, and a lot of great memories shared. Festivities start at 5:00 PM and run through the evening.
