Garden Path Fermentation in Burlington, WA is releasing its first 100 percent spontaneously fermented beer this Saturday, January 2nd: The Spontaneous Ferment. A lot of beer aficionados have been waiting patiently for this one, whether they knew it or not.
The beer is a blend of three batches of coolship-inoculated beers from the winter of 2018. If spontaneously fermented beers and coolships are the kinds of things that stir your mash, then you won’t want to miss this one.
Along with releasing its own spontaneously fermented beer, Garden Path will tap into some beers from their favorite spontaneous producers, including Jester King Brewery (Austin, Texas), De Garde Brewing (Tillamook, Oregon), and Gueuzerie Tilquin (Brussels, Belgium). Garden Path Fermentation Releases Their First 100% Spontaneously Fermented Beer, a Single Year Blend
Burlington, Wash., December 30, 2020. Garden Path Fermentation announces the release of their first 100% spontaneously fermented beer, The Spontaneous Ferment, a single year blend. This special bottle is a blend of three batches of coolship inoculated beers from winter 2018, and brings a depth of different notes: a mild hint of tartness, the rich flavors of Skagit Valley malt, and a thorough but balanced level of native yeast complexities. Bottled in May 2020, The Spontaneous Ferment is finally ready and will be available for sale at Garden Path’s taproom beginning January 2, 2021 as well as throughout the region and beyond.
