Future Primitive Brewing opens its Alki taproom Friday, Aug. 4th

We originally reported the news back in May. Future Primitive Brewing of White Center is opening a new location a few miles away from the brewery: a taproom on Alki Beach. Today we announce that the opening day is set: Friday, August 4th.

We will get there soon and update this post with some photos and details. In the meantime, here’s the original story.

As summer was coming to a close last September, West Seattle Brewing announced that it was closing its location on Alki Beach. Apparently, the landlord said there were plans for the building –renovations and additions– that didn’t involve West Seattle Brewing. Well, for whatever reason, those plans have yet to come to fruition and today we learned that Future Primitive Brewing will open in the spot at 2536 Alki Avenue SW, right across the street from the beach.

“We’re opening an auxiliary taproom on alki beach in the old West Seattle Brewing space,” said Ian Roberts, one of the owners of Future Primitive Brewing. “We were obviously excited when the opportunity came up and home to be open within a month or two. We’re doing some extensive/necessary remodeling to the classic building and plan to keep the same FP vibe but on the beach.”

Future Primitive Brewing is located in White Center, Washington where it operates a brewery and taproom. The location on Alki is just seven miles away from the brewery.

We will keep you posted on the details as they come together and will certainly share any news of an opening date.
