It’s become an annual tradition at Reuben’s Brews in Seattle. Each August, the brewery takes over NW 51st Street next to the brewery for a block party. It’s their way to commemorate the brewery’s anniversary. Live music, food trucks, kids’ activities, and special beers mark the occasion.
The Reuben’s Anniversary Block Party is Saturday, August 5th all day long at 5010 14th Ave NW, Seattle. Here are the details straight from Reuben’s Brews.
We’re Celebrating Ballard With a Daylong Event
We’re planning another big party! In celebration of our 11th anniversary we will once again be closing down NW 51st Street in Ballard.
On Saturday, August 5th four bands will perform throughout the day, five food trucks will serve a variety of cuisine alongside Reuben’s Eats, we’ll have activities for kids, and we’ll be selling some limited edition merchandise, too.
We’ll also be pouring two new beers for our 11th anniversary: Party Float, the fluffiest IPA we’ve ever made, and Instant Vintage, a barrel-aged blend of some of our favorite batches of Three Ryes Men Barleywine.
Here are the four bands that will be performing on our stage:
The Prospectors, a 5-piece rock/funk/soul group will get things started at noon. One claim away from finally striking it rich, this Seattle-based group will bring a blend of originals and party favorites to set the mood and entice the groove.
Planet Fly will be the second band to take the stage, kicking off their set at 2:00pm. A 9-piece funk/soul music group that has performed around Seattle for years, they’ll spread joy through a mix of original songs and dance floor classics.
Then at 4:00pm The Groove Surfers will take the stage. Playing a mix of pop and rock covers from the ’80s and ’90s, this 6-piece band is sure to entertain.
And finally, The Misbehavers will close out the entertainment for the day, beginning at 6:30pm. Purveyors of Northwest Honky Tonk, a sound reminiscent of the ’80s Cowpunk scene mixed with Modern Americana and just a hint of Bakersfield, they’ll bring their particular flavor of twang to our outdoor stage.
Come early and stay late. You don’t want to miss any part of this celebration!
