Logan Brewing is celebrating its anniversary with a two-day street party at the brewery in Burien on August 12th and 13th.
I don’t use the word unique lightly, but Logan Brewing in Burien, Washington enjoys a unique situation. The ability to shut down the street in front of the brewery and host a street party is, basically, written into the brewery’s lease agreement. From the time the neighborhood was conceived and built, the street in front of the brewery was always intended to be used for community events, like the local farmers market, so Logan Brewing can take over the street for a block party with very little effort — no special permits or permissions required. Just do it. It is an advantage that Logan Brewing does not waste.
“We’re throwing a block party in front of our brewery to celebrate three years in Burien!” said the announcement from Logan Brewing. “We’re taking over our block with expanded covered seating, games, local food vendors, and live music.”
“We will have three local Burien food options: Centro Neighborhood Kitchen is serving street tacos from their food truck, Street Cheese LLC is joining us with cheese platters, and Lowrider Cookie Company is bringing their amazing cookies!”
“Live music from Michele D’Amour & the Love Dealers on Saturday, and Hayward Sun and a Singer-Songwriter showcase on Sunday.”
Along with its other offerings, for the occasion, Logan Brewing will serve five special beers:
- Game Cave Hazy IPA
- Plane Shift Cold IPA
- Shocking Grasp Triple IPA
- Sundelion Peach Passionfruit Blonde Ale
- Imperial Red Rye IPA (a collaboration with Flying Bike Brewing.)
