Hands across the water, this festival brings brewers from Oregon and Japan just a little bit closer together.
In Japanese, the term Kakehashi denotes a bridge between two cultures. Kyōdō suggests a collaboration or a combined effort. Both terms describe the spirit behind Fuji to Hood, the cross-Pacific festival held in Portland, Oregon, every other year. This year’s event on July 18th, 2026, promises to be bigger and better than before.
Fuji to Hood brings together brewers and other artisans from Japan and Oregon for a celebration of collaboration, goodwill, good beverages, and good vibes. The event includes food, drink, arts, vendors, and performances from Japan and the Pacific Northwest. It is sponsored by SakeOne, YCH, Spirit of Sage, Travel Portland, Imperial Yeast, Consular Office of Japan in Portland, Yoshida Foods, Day One Distro, and Wacom.
