Perhaps you’ve noticed the early soundings of the cider revolution. Perhaps you’ve started to notice it on tap alongside craft beer at some of Seattle’s finer drinkeries. Cider is the fasted growing segment of the adult beverage industry. The fact that we have great artisan ciders here in the Pacific Northwest should not be surprising. We pretty much have great artisan everything in the Pacific Northwest.
SBS Imports and the Seattle Beer Collective present Cider Summit Seattle. The event takes place in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood at the Lake Union Discovery Center (near corner of Westlake and Denny) on Friday, September 6th and Saturday, September 7th. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 (cash only) at the door. Get them at Stranger tickets, all Whole Foods locations, and at many of the area’s leading bottle shops.
In all there will be more than 80 ciders available for you to sample. Like you’d expect at a beer fest, the people responsible for the product will be there for you to talk to you about their ciders. Along with the cider, enjoy live music, specially selected food pairings, and even a dog lounge where your pooch can get a drink (water). Event proceeds benefit the Northwest Cider Association and the Institute for Myeloma & Bone Cancer Research.
Friday, September 6, 3:00 – 8:00
